There is a slope on the outskirts of Ajdovščina, the place where the excellent flavours of Frutabela bars were created, where members of the Črn trn cycling club build and restore cycling tracks, trails and thus provide various cycling opportunities and increase the visibility of Ajdoviščina among cycling enthusiasts.
The idea of cooperation, with which the Frutabela brand supports the local Črn trn cycling club, has been gestating in the minds of the Ajdovščina inhabitants for a long time. The idea is now getting a focus through the conclusion of a long-term sponsorship, which is appreciated by both the cycling club and Fructal. The primary goal of the new partners is to ensure the development of cycling culture in the local area, as well as to expand and arrange the bike park in Ajdovščina.

Fructal gladly approached this collaboration, which was affirmed by the words of the director Goran Medić: “Fructal has been sponsoring the cycling family trough the Frutabela brand since 2014, as we have been actively collaborating with the Slovenian Cycling Federation, participating in the Tour of Slovenia, and were a part of Marathon Franja from the start; therefore, cooperation with a cycling club in the local area, whose members are or were world and European champions (Mitja Ergaver, Monika Hrastnik) seemed like a natural path forward for us. We are happy to collaborate in the development of the “bike park”, with which we hope to attract cycling enthusiasts from across Slovenia and abroad.”
For this purpose, Fructal developed a new logo for the bike park, provided branding and helped with promotion. Funds will also be used to build new tracks and to restore the old ones.
The representative of the Črn trn association, Sebastjan Kodele, added: “We are thrilled that Fructal has decided to cooperate with us. This opens up new possibilities in the development of our ‘bike park’, and we are really happy to have found a common interest there. Just before winter, we rolled up our sleeves and constructed a completely new ‘trail track’ on the slope of Školj. This is a project that we will be upgrading for years to come. We will do our best to add a new feature to the ‘bike park’ every year, making it even bigger and more attractive to all visitors.”
A proper and modern “bike park” can definitely be a magnet for crowds of cycling enthusiasts from near and far, while the varied surroundings of Ajdovščina offers a lot of diverse cycling experiences. The people of Ajdovščina, who are devoted to cycling expect a lot from the Frutabela – Črn trn partnership, and we are convinced that we are on the right track.
There is no doubt that the well-known fruit-cereal bar, synonymous with healthy snacks, will be enjoyed frequently by the cycling enthusiasts in Ajdovščina.
